Sailing faster, sailing smart:
They say the devil is in the details and it is particularly true with seamanship and racing. St Christopher underwent yet another winter of tweaks and simplifications to sail faster. The trends of 2022/23 have favoured for lean (e.g. light) and simple solutions as well as sharp sails.
As ever, we learned a lot from the craft, our amazing crew and all the passionate sailors that we race against. There lies the real reward.
Having said that, the tally silver from the international circuit adds a nice touch to the tally of souvenirs that we contemplate during the winter:
